As it turns out, I am a terrible blogger and the blog has not been kept current for Unravelled Inc, but life gets busy and sometimes it's all one can do to keep up.

I wish this were a happy post telling you that I am all caught up and ready to publish some new card designs. Unfortunately, it is not that sort of post. I do have pending card designs but they will not be published anytime in the near future since Unravelled Inc. is shutting down for now due to a serious family illness.

I hope to re-open some time in the future and will post here as soon as I have news.

In spite of what the recorded message says when you call the old number, it is not disconnected. There was supposed to be a forwarding message to the new number but apparently something went wrong during the number change and the forwarding message has not been applied yet.

I will update the business website as soon as I can get my rusty HTML skills in working order.

Our newest line of cards don’t involve any knitting humor or bad puns to make you groan, just gorgeous, full-color yarn and knitting themed cards suitable for sending to both the yarn obsessed and the unenlightened alike.

New Cards Coming Soon!

We're obviously a bit behind on the intended Fall 2007 release target date, but there are definitely new card designs coming soon.

Eight new card designs are headed to the graphic designer tomorrow to be prepared for the trip to the printer. If there are no more delays, we should have new cards ready to sell by late January or early February.

We've had several requests for a larger selection that includes some non-humorous cards so this next series of cards are lovely photos of yarn and fiber with not a single bad pun or visual gag included (yes, this was quite hard for us but we persevered).

But don't worry, we are hard at work on our usual designs as well and already have several yarn-obsessed humor photos for the next series of greeting cards!

One of the things about having a new business is that the knowledge about how one should approach a particular task is very often gained just after one really needs the information, generally by doing said task the 'less than ideal' way the first time around.

There have been many of these handy learning opportunities provided for our benefit while running Unravelled Inc. this first year and we're hopeful that these instructive lessons will helpt to speed us along in the coming new year!

Vulcan's Rest Fibers - our newest store

In addition to a new store, we've added a new state to the Unravelled retail list!

You can now find our cards in the scenic Victorian era town of Chesapeake City, Maryland at Vulcan's Rest Fibers (for some vacation-inspiring photos see the community pages at the store's website!).

The owner, Margaret Trassell, has stocked her store to appeal to nearly every fiber artist, with supplies for basket making, knitting, crochet, needle felting, rug hooking, spinning and weaving. And now, of course, cards!
